Center for Fine Arts (1987-1989) and graduated from the Painting Department at
the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus in 1995, earning his Master's degree in

Alolabi
has participated in numerous local and international exhibitions.
His works
often feature a balance between identifiable figures (sometimes with faces that
are partially obscured or stylized) and abstract forms. The figures frequently
appear elongated or fluid, sometimes merging with the calligraphic or textural
backgrounds.
Alolabi
employs a diverse color palette, with some works featuring vibrant, rich hues,
while others lean towards more subdued, earthy tones. The textures in his
paintings are varied, with visible brushstrokes and layering, contributing to
the sense of depth and tactile quality.
Alolabi's
art frequently explores themes related to memory, heritage, and the inner
world, particularly his connection to Damascus. The "symbolic lines"
he uses contribute to a narrative that evokes a sense of history, spirituality,
and personal introspection. The figures and compositions often convey a
contemplative or solemn mood.
